Resolve Divorce is honoured to be shortlisted in 3 categories of the prestigious Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards. These categories are Dispute Resolution and/or Litigation Team of the Year, Boutique Law Firm of the Year and NewLaw Firm of the Year.

When I founded Resolve Divorce 9 years ago, I was frustrated by the negative impacts of divorce on the wider community. I recognised that the traditional approach to handling divorce negotiations facilitated an environment of high conflict, and further contributed to the negative stigma that surrounded divorce. I knew there was a better way. But I never expected the success I have had getting to this point. I often pinch myself when I think about how the chances I took back then have turned out for me. Today is another pinch worthy moment!

I am proud to announce our recognition as a finalist in three areas the Australian Law Awards for 2023 and see it as a reflection of the business that my Partner Chanel Martin and I have so carefully fostered.

If nothing else, these awards show that our revolutionary approach to Family Law, where we support both our clients’ legal and emotional outcomes is a recognised success and a much needed solution.

These awards are widely considered the most prestigious of their kind on a national level, with one finalist nomination being a stellar achievement – let alone 3!!

Both of us are super pumped and proud of this!!

Considering the wide scope of these awards, we are even more proud to be bringing well-deserved attention to the South Australian legal sector. Step aside eastern states!

It often takes recognition such as this to stop and take notice of how far you have come, and in turn, how much you have achieved. So let’s reflect on each of these three categories, as their diversity alone is an excellent reflection of Resolve’s uniqueness in the legal sector.

Dispute Resolution and/or Litigation Team of the Year

We negotiate strategically,  offering a range of processes to be able to achieve our client’s best outcome. We have two streams of negotiation support, Resolve Cooperate and Resolve Litigate.

We pride ourselves in reducing the amount of litigation we have at the firm, but in or out of court, we know that it is more about the way the clients are supported through the journey that matters, rather than which process they are in.

Did you know Resolve has the highest concentration of Accredited Specialists in Family Law in the entire state? Or that over half of our legal team holds, or is completing their Master of Law (Family Law)?

When it comes to litigation, we are the experts. We have the means and the experience to back ourselves. We can also use our teams alternative credentials, as Collaboratively Law trained, and Certified Divorce Coaches to negotiate with strategy and creativity. We have a laser clear focus on achieving a settlement to meet our clients’ predetermined goals.

Boutique Law Firm of the Year

Despite being South Australia’s largest speciality law firm, Resolve has not lost the merits of being a boutique firm. This means we can offer big law expertise and credentials, while maintaining our small firm nature and level of service. We build strong relationships, fostering trust and open communication with our clients, and colleagues from throughout the industry. We are very proud to say our clients are treated as individuals, not just matter files.

NewLaw Firm of the Year

A NewLaw Firm represents those trailblazers disrupting the traditional legal industry by delivering ground-breaking services. Sounds familiar right? There is so much we do here that resonates with this. To start, we are not adverse to innovation in our field and lovers of all technology that works to save our lawyers time, create efficiencies and refine the level of service we can provide to our clients.

No matter the results on awards night this coming August, we are proud that this acts as proof that our legacy of creating real change in the way people experience divorce is being achieved. We will never stop working towards bettering ourselves, nor the service we offer to our clients. However, for now we are thankful to our incredible team that has enabled us to make our dreams a reality. We are also thankful for our large network of supporters who have entrusted us with their clients, this would never have been possible if they did not also believe in our mission and supported us to grow. Rest assured, there will be a bubbles – or 2 – being popped in the Resolve office to celebrate!
