At the end of 2025, I was honoured to be recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a 2026 Family Law Rising Star. The award acknowledges practitioners in the family law sector who are operating at a high level and making a meaningful contribution to the profession. Being nominated was both humbling and affirming, and it reinforced my commitment to the work I do and the clients I support.
Recognition in Doyle’s Guide is particularly meaningful because the rankings are peer-based, drawing on feedback from fellow practitioners and those within the profession. The Family Law Rising Stars category highlights lawyers who, while still early in their careers, have demonstrated technical skill, integrity and a strong reputation in their respective jurisdictions. To be included among such talented practitioners across South Australia is a privilege, and one I do not take lightly.
My path to family law has not been a linear one. I began my career in commercial law, but soon realised I was drawn to the human side of legal practice. Family law allows me to combine strategic problem-solving with empathy, supporting clients through periods of significant change and helping them move forward with clarity and confidence. Making the decision to transition practice areas was a leap of faith, and I am deeply grateful for the exceptional mentorship and support I have received at Resolve, which has enabled my career to flourish.
What continues to resonate with me about family law is the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives at a time when they often feel uncertain and overwhelmed. Guiding clients through complex negotiations, parenting arrangements and property matters requires not only legal precision, but patience, perspective and compassion. It is a responsibility I approach with care and respect.
Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, I’m excited to continue growing as a practitioner and refining my skills in family law. I’m motivated to keep learning, take on new challenges, and build strong, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. I remain committed to contributing positively to the profession and to delivering thoughtful, strategic outcomes for every client I have the privilege of representing.
